Non-slip pool surrounds · Western Sydney

Pool surrounds that are safer, cooler and look new

Pool concrete takes a beating from sun, water, chlorine and bare feet. We resurface pool surrounds with spray-crete and a non-slip sealer, in colours chosen to stay comfortable underfoot in a Western Sydney summer.

Why it works

Built for wet, barefoot areas

Slip resistance

We add a non-slip additive to the sealer so the surface gives better grip when wet.

Cooler colours

Light tones like Sandstone, Cream and Silver Sands absorb far less heat than dark greys.

Sealed against splash

The sealer helps protect against pool water, chlorine and leaf staining.

Natural stone looks

Flagstone, random bluestone and sandstone-style patterns suit outdoor living areas.

Colour advice

Why colour choice matters more around a pool

Dark colours look striking on a driveway, but around a pool they can get uncomfortably hot under summer sun. For pool surrounds we usually recommend lighter tones (Sandstone, Sandy Beige, Cream or Silver Sands) paired with a stone-style stencil. They stay more comfortable underfoot and make the water look brighter.

Safety

Pool fences, coping and edges

We work around existing pool fencing and coping and mask everything carefully. If your coping is loose or your pool fence needs work, that’s best sorted before resurfacing. We’ll flag anything we see at the measure. We don’t alter pool barriers.

    Apply the system

Base coats, colour, flake or stencil pattern, applied in the right conditions at the right thickness.

  4. 04

    Seal & hand over

Protective sealer, then a walk-through of cure times and simple care so it stays looking new.

FAQs

Pool surrounds: your questions answered

Can’t see your question? Ask us directly, we’re happy to help.

Is spray-crete safe around a pool?

Yes, when finished with a non-slip additive in the sealer. Any smooth sealed surface can be slippery when wet, which is why we always recommend the non-slip option around pools.

Will a pool surround get hot?

All outdoor surfaces heat up in direct sun, but lighter colours stay noticeably cooler than dark ones. That’s why we steer pool areas toward lighter tones.

When is the best time to resurface a pool area?

Late winter through spring, so it’s cured and ready before swim season. Book early, as spring is our busiest time.
