Why it works

Why epoxy beats bare concrete

Stain resistant

Oil, coolant and spills wipe up instead of soaking in.

No more concrete dust

Sealing the slab stops the fine dust that tracks into the house.

Brighter space

A gloss surface reflects light, so garages and workshops feel bigger and brighter.

Tough

Built for car tyres, toolboxes and daily foot traffic.

Seamless

One continuous surface, no grout lines to collect dirt.

Real finish choice

Seven systems and 50+ colours and blends, from subtle flake to show-stopping metallic.

The difference

Epoxy flooring vs “garage floor paint”

Not all epoxy is equal. One-pack “epoxy-look” paints from the hardware store are thin and often peel under hot tyres. A professional epoxy system is a multi-coat, two-part resin applied over a mechanically prepared slab. The preparation is what makes it last.

We diamond-grind every floor to open up the surface so the epoxy can bond into it, repair cracks and joints, then build up the system in coats. That’s the part you don’t see, and the part that decides whether a floor lasts.

How we do it

Our epoxy process

For a typical garage floor:

  1. 01

    Concrete grinding

We clear the space with you, then diamond-grind the slab and vacuum the dust.

  2. 02

Repair cracks, chips and joints, and check the slab for moisture issues.

  3. 03

Apply the epoxy base coat in your chosen colour.

  4. 04

Broadcast flake, quartz or work in metallic pigments (depending on the system).

  5. 05

Apply clear epoxy topcoats for depth, gloss and protection.

  6. 06

Hand over with cure times and simple care instructions.

FAQs

Epoxy flooring: your questions answered

Can’t see your question? Ask us directly, we’re happy to help.

How long does an epoxy floor take?

Most home garages take 2–4 days including prep, coats and cure time between them. Foot traffic is usually fine after about a day and cars after several days. We’ll confirm for your system.

Is epoxy flooring slippery?

A smooth gloss finish can be slippery when wet. Flake and quartz finishes add texture, and our Grip Finish adds a slip-resistant topcoat for ramps, wash bays and wet areas.

Will hot tyres lift the epoxy?

Hot-tyre pick-up is a common problem with thin garage paints. A properly bonded, multi-coat epoxy system over a ground slab is far more resistant.

Can you epoxy over existing paint or coating?

Usually the old coating needs to be ground off so the new system bonds to the concrete. We’ll check what’s there at the measure.

Does epoxy yellow in the sun?

Some epoxies can amber with UV exposure, which is why we choose the topcoat to suit the space, especially garages that get direct afternoon sun with the door open.
